Ideas Incubator Grant Recipients Announced
The Department of International Health recently launched a small grants program to strengthen the department's existing work, promote innovative research, and stimulate new pathways of sustainable inquiry. The recipients of the latest round, called the Ideas Incubator Grant, have just been announced.
Congratulations to our awardees for the following proposals:
- Assistant Professor Krishna Rao and co-investigator Professor David Bishai: Improving Child Health in India With a Conditional Cash Transfer Program—What a Discrete Choice Experiment Will Tell Us
- Professor Joel Gittelsohn and Associate Professor Alain Labrique: Developing and piloting a Healthy Food System Mobile Application-Baltimore Food Distribution app
- Assistant Scientist Mary Cwik and Associate Professor Holly Wilcox: A Pilot Study of the Impact of Follow-up Text Messaging on Suicidal Adolescents
And many thanks to the members of the selection committee: Professor Alan Sorkin (chair), Associate Scientist Allison Barlow, and Professor Larry Moulton.
The call for grants was open to all full-time International Health faculty for all topics in international health, with a priority on multidisciplinary work and work in low- and middle-income countries.
The next call for grants will be announced in 2017.
