Olusoji Adeyi, MD, MBA, DrPH, is the Director of the Health, Nutrition and Population Global Practice at the World Bank Group. He has served as the World Bank’s Sector Manager for Health, Nutrition and Population in Eastern and Southern Africa, with responsibilities for the institution’s support for policies, strategies and programs in the sub-region. Dr. Adeyi was founding Director of the Affordable Medicines Facility-malaria (AMFm) at the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
Dr. Adeyi's address is one of the featured events commemorating Global Health Day at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Every year, the Johns Hopkins Center for Global Health organizes a celebration of Global Health Day that includes events designed to share and inform global health knowledge, expertise and experiences with the Johns Hopkins, local, and international communities. In addition to Dr. Adeyi's seminar, the day features keynote speaker Ambassador Deborah Birx, faculty mentorship awards, lunch and student poster sessionr, and a reception.
