Practicum topic and overview
Providing technical support for a multi-phase study testing two differentiated care strategies among virally unsuppressed female sex workers living with HIV in Durban, South Africa.
In this role, I have overseen the formative component of the study, conducting rapid programmatic qualitative analyses to inform the quantitative trial & developing intervention materials based on results. I'm also conducting grounded theory analysis to characterize facilitators & barriers of antiretroviral therapy initiation, retention in care, and adherence for FSW living with HIV.
I'll be working as the Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor for PSI’s Namibia affiliate, The Society for Family Health/Namibia in Windhoek, Namibia. My primary role will be to contribute technical advice and guidance in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of HIV/AIDS epidemiologic studies, operational research, and targeted evaluation projects, with focus on SFH/Namibia’s key populations program.
