Information for current students
(who matriculated prior to June 2017)
The focus of the DrPH in Health Policy and Management is on integrating and applying knowledge and skills in leadership, practice, policy analysis, program and budget management, and communication with an emphasis on the application of policy, practice and management perspectives to contemporary health problems.
The DrPH offered in Health Policy and Management is principally a part-time program, designed for students working full-time who have completed master's level training prior to starting doctoral studies.
Students are expected to complete the required coursework over a four-year period, followed by the written comprehensive and preliminary oral examinations, which are completed prior to beginning substantive work on the dissertation. It is possible to complete the program within a six-year period, although students have up to nine years, if needed.
