- HBS faculty member, Sara Benjamin-Neelon, PhD, published a new article in Obesity titled “Maternal Employment and Infant BMI z Score in a US Birth Cohort.”
- Along with colleagues from the Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Policy and Research, Sara Benjamin-Neelon, PhD, and Elyse Grossman, PhD published a new paper in Preventative Medicine titled "Stay-at-home orders and firearms in the United States during the COVID-19 pandemic."
- HBS faculty member, Janice Bowie, PhD, in collaboration with colleagues from across the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, published a new article titled “The COVID-19 Pandemic: An Opportunity to Transform Higher Education in Public Health” in Public Health Reports.
- HBS doctoral student, Catherine Clair, published a new study in BMJ Quality & Safety titled “Standardised approach to measuring goal-based outcomes among older disabled adults: results from a multisite pilot.”
- Susan Hannum, PhD, published a new article titled “Engineering care transitions: Clinician perceptions of barriers to safe medication management during transitions of patient care” in Applied Ergonomics.
- HBS doctoral student, Darriel Harris, and HBS faculty members, Danetta Sloan, PhD, and Janice Bowie, PhD, published a new paper in Palliative & Supportive Care titled “Church leaders and parishioners speak out about the role of the church in advance care planning and end-of-life care.”
- HBS doctoral student, Kristy Marynak, and HBS faculty member, Meghan Moran, PhD, published a commentary titled “Ad Watch: ‘Unstoppable’ VUSE Alto TV Spot Closely Mirrors ‘Nicotine Addiction Checks’ on TikTok” in Tobacco Control.
- HBS faculty member, Anne Palmer, MAIA, received the Sarah Samuels Memorial Award for leadership in the field of nutrition and food policy from the American Public Health Association. The award recognizes Palmer’s work with food policy councils, which help inform policy to improve population nutrition and health, as well as promote social justice.
- HBS doctoral student, Torra Spillane, published a new article in Drug and Alcohol Dependence titled “Content analysis of instagram posts by leading cannabis vaporizer brands.”
- HBS doctoral student, Kristy Marynak, published a new CDC Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) titled “Notes from the Field: Characteristics of E-cigarette, or Vaping, Products Confiscated in Public High Schools in California and North Carolina – March and May 2019.”
