ECHO DAC Resources for Researchers

The Environmental Influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO)-wide Cohort Study, a nation-wide collaborative cohort study, combines 69 existing pediatric cohorts to study a range of child health outcomes.

ECHO Data Analysis Center (DAC) faculty at Johns Hopkins University are leading the development of novel, scientifically rigorous methods for complex consortium studies such as ECHO. We are currently developing methods related to missing data, combining independent cohort studies in analyses, and creating time-varying, novel national “neighborhood”-level measures and datasets.

Data Analysis Workshops

The DAC created a series of monthly Data Analysis Worships for Fall 2022 and Spring 2023. DAC faculty and statisticians describe common topics and methods used in ECHO-wide Cohort analyses. Workshops will be a combination of didactic lecture on current best methodological practices and interactive labs with pre-prepared datasets and code. Topics include practical guide for combining cohorts in collaborative studies, novel methods for missing data in consortium studies, and microbiome and epigenetics methods. Materials from the workshops can be found in the ECHOPortal Resource Library.

Analysis Workshops will restart in January 2024!

Summer Institute

DAC Investigator Justine Debelius will be teaching a new Summer Institute Course on Bioinformatics Strategies for Microbiome Data.  For more information, please click here.
