With new COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations surging in the U.S., the winter holidays coming up, and a U.S. presidential administration transition ahead, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health experts shared what leaders and individuals should do now to reverse current troubling trends.

Please note: In the live webcast, Dr. D’Souza said that COVID-19 is the leading cause of death in the U.S. In fact, it is currently the third leading cause of death, after heart disease and cancer. Dr. Dowdy said that the vaccines require two doses spaced eight weeks part. In fact, the Pfizer vaccine requires two doses spaced three weeks apart, and the Moderna vaccine requires two doses spaced four weeks apart. These statements have been edited out of the webcast.
