340.763 Epi Methods for Doctoral Students III

Description
Introduces epidemiologic methods to doctoral students in the department of epidemiology. Formulates an epidemiologic research question, obtains, cleans, and analyzes data, summarizes findings (graphs, tables, abstract), and presents a project in a poster format.
Learning Objectives
Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
  1. Formulate research questions
  2. Conduct statistical analyses on a dataset
  3. Calculate and interpret measures of association from different study designs and with various regression analyses
  4. Apply various conference formats for submitting an abstract.
  5. Present a poster that summarized findings from a research project

This course is evaluated as follows:
