Description
Introduces the concept and application of translational epidemiology. Presents a range of topics including communication techniques, giving press releases, use of social media, community engagement, and engaging with policymakers. Introduces related topics like implementation science and public health practice.
Learning Objectives
Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
  1. Design and integrate public health research with the efforts of other stakeholders to generate data in the format and type needed to inform policy and public
  2. Adapt communication to the audience to communicate effectively with press, social media, participants, and larger public
