Description
Introduces MPH students to their educational program. Includes enrichment seminars, required readings and assignments, including the Goals Analysis requirement. 
Learning Objectives
Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
  1. Define the interdisciplinary nature of public health
  2. Articulate national and international perspectives of public health problems
  3. Plan their educational program through the individual Goals Analysis assignments
Methods of Assessment
This course is evaluated as follows:
  • 10% Discussion Board
  • 15% Participation
  • 75% Final Paper
Enrollment Restriction
Full-time MPH students completing program in 11 months (starting in July and ending in May)
Special Comments

Administered by the faculty on the MPH executive board who will be serving as mentors to the students. The faculty advisors will review the final paper (the goals analysis).
