Discusses how to create an inclusive and welcoming workplace atmosphere. Emphasizes culturally sensitive and respectful communication. Familiarizes participants with workplace expectations, acceptable behaviors, and general professional deportment.
- Learning Objectives:

Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
- Define elements of a professional, civil, and inclusive culture in an academic workspace.
- Identify and make suggestions for improving insensitive workplace communication
- List and practice steps for effectively dealing with difficult workplace situations
- Practice effective time management skills
- Create a personal action plan to help improve civility, inclusion, and professionalism in their workplace environment
