Description
Provides experience in critical evaluation of historical and contemporary research pertinent to Population, Family and Reproductive Health. Addresses a range of topics, drawing on research from multiple academic disciplines. Critique and discusses conceptual frameworks and empirical articles and examine the methodological and disciplinary perspectives of the research or articles.
Learning Objectives
Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
  1. Apply diverse conceptual frameworks to public health issues pertinent to PFRH
  2. Critique empirical articles addressing public health issues related to PFRH
  3. Compare and contrast the approaches of various academic disciplines to public health issues of relevance to PFRH
  4. Recognize and critically evaluate common study designs and methods used in research relevant to PFRH
