Explores selective current and historic topics of relevance to International Health in the first term. Comprises a set of readings on each topic, some of which are presented and discussed in class by students working in groups under the guidance of expert content faculty.
- Learning Objectives:

Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
- Think and write critically
- Work in multidisciplinary teams to analyze complex issues of importance in International Health
- Use evidence based perspectives to critically examine what interventions, programs and policies work, do not work, and why or why not
- Use knowledge of biological and socioeconomic factors in global epidemiology to inform prevention and/or mitigation of a disease or condition in a disadvantaged population
- Methods of Assessment:
This course is evaluated as follows:
- 30% Assignments
- 20% Project(s)
- 50% Group Work
