Description
Doctoral students in Environmental Health & Engineering will take this course as a complementary activity to required TAship in order to grow their teaching skills.
Prepares students to excel in required teaching activities as part of their PhD program. Includes access to teaching resources, departmental best practices and faculty support. Reviews critical skills in teaching and communicating environmental health and engineering concepts.
Learning Objectives
Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
  1. Guide different types of learners to understand a variety of environmental health topics
  2. Engage students who come from cultures other than their own
  3. Communicate effectively with students and with other members of the teaching team
