Description
COVID-19 is the public health event of the century! Come learn about multiple aspects of the pandemic from the experts who are responding to and conducting cutting-edge research on the pandemic.
Explores current issues in the ongoing coranoavirus pandemic. Discusses emerging knowledge about virology and epidemiology of SARS-CoV-2, the clinical presentation and treatment of COVID-19. Examines key ethical, social and policy challenges and opportunities to address them in our global response.
Learning Objectives
Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
  1. Describe key characteristics of the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, including epidemiology, virology, transmission, diagnosis, testing, treatments including non-pharmacologic interventions, mental health challenges, and immunization and therapeutic strategies
  2. Write an OpEd/Editorial about a COVID-19 topic that includes accurate, up-to-date information about the pandemic
