COVID-19 is the public health event of the century! Come learn about multiple aspects of the pandemic from the experts.
Provides students with expert information and insight around the current COVID-19 pandemic globally. This series will meet virtually, featuring experts on multiple clinical, epidemiological, and social elements of the novel coronavirus.
Learning Objectives
Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
  1. Describe key characteristics of the novel coronavirus, including epidemiology and virology
  2. Identify seminal challenges to the initial and current control of the pandemic
  3. Discuss major program efforts to control the pandemic in the US and globally
Methods of Assessment
This course is evaluated as follows:
  • 50% Participation
  • 50% Country or state COVID-19 response timeline
