Presents lectures by surgical oncologists and medical oncologists covering clinical issues and controversies in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of the commonest and most deadly adult cancers including lung, breast, prostate, colon/rectal, pancreas, stomach, esophagus, liver, brain, head & neck, and melanoma. The focus is on clinical, rather than biological aspects of cancer.
Learning Objectives
Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
- Describe cancer presentation and progression, and treatment approaches for major cancers
- Describe factors and complexities that influence clinical decision-making
- Define controversies in diagnosis, treatment, and screening
