Description
Federal, state, and local funders are requiring the inclusion of a logic models and/or theories of change in funding applications for mental and behavioral health programming. Are you interested in using learning how to use a logic model to build a research or program team from persons with different and sometime contradictory perspectives?
Developing and Using Logic Models/Theory of Change for Behavioral Health and Violence Prevention Programs. Introduces the concept of the logic model/theory of change in the development of programming and in the creation of grant applications. Reviews logic models/theory of change strategies from existing programming related to the prevention of behavioral health problems/violence or the treatment/remediation of behavioral health problems/violence/trauma. Discusses strategies for using the logic model/theory of change to build effective teams.
Learning Objectives
Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
  1. Identify components of logic models for mental and behavioral health programming
  2. Utilize examples of logic model templates to prepare logic models for mental and behavioral health programming.
  3. Identify how the development of a logic models can be used as part of the team building process within a service organization.
  4. Identify how logic models can be incorporated into a grant proposal.
