Description
Whether you are giving a presentation to a small group of colleagues or appearing on CNN, skills for effectively presenting information will inevitably come in handy during your career. This course offers practical exercises to help you be more confident, poised and prepared for public speaking.
Enhances skills to construct and deliver oral presentations with clarity and impact. Provides individual assessment and feedback for each participant through videotaped exercises and a short formal presentation constructed during the course.
Learning Objectives
Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
  1. Construct and deliver an efficient statement explaining one's work or research
  2. Improve comfort and proficiency in recorded interviews
  3. Describe guidelines for professional use of social media

This course will be offered for 2 days in the HPM Summer Institute. Students are required to complete readings prior to the start of the micourse. The final assignments will be due no later than August 2, 2018. Students who took the course as special studies 301.867.11 should not take this course again.
