Description
Prepares students for the activities and requirements of the second year of the program including the practicum and beyond. Specific sessions and skills address: literature search strategies for Capstone and publications, IRB roles and resources, programmatic qualitative research, the use and interpretation of modeling tools, practicum documentation.
Learning Objectives
Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
  1. Develop skills needed for public health practice, including problem-solving, analytic thinking, communication, and collaboration.
  2. Interpret key publications related to global disease control programs and research
  3. Apply new knowledge and problem-solving skills to address public health issues
