Students are required to take this course concurrently with 312.601, Fundamentals of Management for Health Care Organizations.

Description:

Provides the opportunity to explore and apply management concepts and quantitative techniques. Designed as a management skills learning lab, employs case studies, simulations, group-based activities, and advanced analytic techniques.

Learning Objectives:

Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:

  1. Apply management theories and tools to the analysis of a current health care organizational issues
  2. Work collaboratively on team-based projects
Methods of Assessment:

Participation 40%, group exercises and case studies 30%, journal article review 30%

Enrollment Restriction:

undergraduates are not permitted in this course
