Description
Presents the foundations of service program evaluation. Includes developing a framework to guide evaluation activities, consensus building among stakeholders, identifying outcomes, data collection strategies, data driven program development, and data utility. Addresses the use of multi-level evaluation strategies to assess the complexity of change within service systems. Examples from the services evaluation field are used to illustrate key concepts and strategies.
Learning Objectives
Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
  1. Provides an overview of the fundamentals of basic evaluation design and methodology, including major domains of measurement and selected examples of specific measures
  2. Presents an application of these fundamentals to the evaluation of service systems
