Description
Challenges students to develop competencies in public health decision making, management and leadership. Focuses on universal leadership principles and public health comptencies. Uses case studies, both domestic and international, to illustrate these principles.
Learning Objectives
Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
  1. identify and develop the key characteristics and competencies of successful leaders
  2. Identify the qualities (positive and negative) of successful leaders
  3. Identify the challenges of communication and develop strategies for addressing multiple audiences
