Description
Develops skills in critical reading of epidemiological reports. Uses a case-study, problem-based learning approach. In advance of the course, students read and critique several articles. Uses a blend of lectures and discussions.
Learning Objectives
Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
  1. Read and interpret reports of epidemiological studies
  2. Identify sources of bias in epidemiological findings and determine how they have been addressed
  3. Develop reports of epidemiological studies in public health practice
