In a little over two weeks, we’ll be welcoming our full-time MPH students to Orientation. In advance of that welcome, I’d like to make a few introductions to our incoming students.

Meet Student Affairs!

Student Affairs is the department under which Admissions Services, Career Services, Disability Support Services, Financial Aid, Records and Registration, Student Life and SOURCE (Student Outreach Resource Center) all operate. It’s kind of a customer service unit for students.

Admissions Services

If you’re an admitted student, you’re probably very familiar with Admissions Services. Admissions works with prospective students to help them learn more about the Bloomberg School and navigate the admissions process.

Career Services

Career Services helps students, alumni, faculty, staff and employers navigate the world of public health jobs. Among other things, career services staff conduct resume workshops, mock interviews, and host one of the largest public health career fairs in the country.

Disability Support Services

Disability Support Services reviews documentation and provides the appropriate accommodations for students who need them.

Financial Aid

The Financial Aid Office helps with federal and private loans, as well as the Federal Work-Study Program.

Records and Registration

Records & Registration manages course registration, distributes diplomas, provides transcripts to alumni, and helps students with veteran's benefits.

Student Life

The Office of Student Life promotes an atmosphere that embraces the diversity of our academic community both here in Baltimore and abroad.

SOURCE, or the Student Outreach Resource Center, is a tri-school entity providing academic, professional and personal development opportunities for students through community outreach and service-learning partnerships with local organizations.

Incoming students will have a chance to chat with representatives of these departments during Orientation.

They will be pleased to meet you!
