Admissions Blog

Keyword: fun

Our admissions blog is three years old today! Happy Birthday!

That’s three years of application tips, deadline alerts, “what you’re asking,” event reminders and a few really bad jokes by yours truly (you know you laughed anyway).

It’s a special day for many reasons. Today is also my last day as the voice of the Admissions Blog. I’ve scheduled a few posts over the next month and I’m leaving you in really good hands. I’m certain there will be many good posts in yours and the Admissions Blog’s future.

So long. Farewell. And happy Admissions Blog reading!

Office birthday

I have nothing more to add.

It’s hard to believe, but our admissions blog is two years old!

That’s two years of application tips, admissions reminders, micro campus tours, staff profiles, Baltimore bragging and general silliness by yours truly.

Thank you for following!

What are your favorite things about the Bloomberg School?

I asked our admissions team to take a picture of their favorite thing. Here is what they came up with!

Favorite things around the School

From left to right, top to bottom:

  • amazing people! (represented here by the staff of Student Affairs)
  • one of many electronic posters listing intriguing lectures and events – there’s always something going on!
  • coffee from the Daily Grind – aside from the caffeine, a trip to the coffee shop means snippets of conversation with students, faculty and staff
  • ninth floor terrace – good for reading, eating or stealing a moment of sunshine
  • upside down map provides a different perspective of a familiar image
  • view of Baltimore from a treadmill in the ninth floor gym

Scoops of ice creamWhat makes Johns Hopkins such a great university? Is it our commitment to research-based academics? Our amazing faculty? Our phenomenal blog writers?

Perhaps, it’s that we have our own ice cream flavor: Blue Jay Batter.

Just my guess.
