Each year the Department of Health Policy and Management highlights a specific area of policy by hosting a Distinguished Policy Scholar. For the Centennial Year, HPM and students throughout the Bloomberg School of Public Health, has benefited from the experience and expertise of former congressman Henry A. Waxman. Many of the lectures and panel discussions at the Bloomberg School Waxman participated in during the 2015-2016 academic year can be found on the HPM website.

Last week, it was announced that the 2017-2018 academic year Distinguished Policy Scholar will be Michael Botticelli, MEd, former White House Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy.
