Stacks of applications

Thanksgiving weekend is an exciting time in admissions: not just for family and turkey, but for the December 1 deadline!

December 1 is the first of our big and it doesn’t disappoint. The above is just a portion of the applications we received!

Besides processing your applications and supporting materials, we’re also doing our best to address your many questions.

The most common question we’ve received is:

Have you received my transcripts/test scores/letters of recommendation/etc.?

If your application is submitted, the easiest way for you to check your materials is to log back into your online application

If you JUST submitted, you may want to give it a few days. It’s very likely your application is being processed as I write, your supporting materials pulled from holding files and passed from desk to desk as documents are checked and logged into the system.

Our admissions staff works hard to process materials as quickly and accurately as possible, but we do ask for your patience.  It may take up to two weeks to process your materials and post them to your online account.

We do our best to contact you if we have any problems or are missing components from your file, but in the end, it’s your responsibility to make sure we’ve received everything. We can’t encourage you enough to regularly log in and check your application.

If you haven’t submitted your application, any materials we receive will be placed in a holding file. Each year, hundreds of people begin applications and/or submit materials, but never formally apply. Because of this volume, we don’t process supporting documents until your application is submitted and the application fee paid.

It’s yet another reason to submit early. If you wait until the last minute, there may not be time to resolve any potential issues.

Best wishes to you and your application!
