Managing Director and Head of Patient Impact, Patient Square Capital
Kelvin A. Baggett, MD, is a managing director on Patient Square Capital’s Transformation and Growth Team, where he serves as the head of Patient Impact and chair of Patient Square’s EMPIRIC Institute (Excellence in Medicine, Patient Impact Research, Innovation and Care). Most recently, he was Executive Vice President & Chief Impact Officer at McKesson Corporation. Before joining McKesson, Dr. Baggett served as managing director at Posterity Capital Group and as senior advisor at Pharos Capital Group, where he selectively advised the firm on a wide range of matters. Prior to that, he served as the chief operating officer for Health Care Navigator (HCN), where he was responsible for improving the performance of privately held, domestic, multistate health care operating companies.
Previously, Dr. Baggett served as senior vice president, chief clinical officer and chief medical officer at Tenet Healthcare and as chief operating officer and vice president, Clinical Strategies at HCA, where he led a team that implemented strategies to improve care delivery and outcomes. Dr. Baggett has earned an MD from East Carolina University, an MPH from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, and a BS from the University of North Carolina.
