Focuses on established major modifiable risk factors for cardiovascular diseases, putative risk factors, and genetic susceptibility. Covers the social burden of disease and prevention strategies. Student evaluation based on class discussion, a mid-term take-home exam, and a final exam. Prerequisites are 340.601, core epidemiology knowledge of clinical and pathological aspects of diseases covered.
