The course provides an overview of cardiovascular pathophysiology specifically geared for students without a clinical medicine background. Topics include cardiac structure and function, atherosclerosis, lipids, heart failure, hypertension, kidney function, and diabetes. The course focuses on the pathological processes that lead to sub-clinical and clinical disease, and common diagnostic techniques. Restricted to students in the cardiovascular disease epidemiology concentration.
