This course is restricted to students in the cardiovascular disease epidemiology concentration who have previously taken Cardiovascular Disease Epidemiology. Special studies course in cardiovascular and renal disease epidemiology. Students lead discussions on seminal articles in either the history or future of risk factors for CVD. Each student will choose a topic and prepare an overview of the risk factor, and biological plausibility of the risk factor being in pathway of atherosclerosis. Finally, the student will present a recent article and prepare and submit a critical review of the manuscript in the form of a “letter to the editor."
