Welch Center Research-In-Progress meets on the last Monday of every month at noon and also on the preceeding Thursday at noon to discuss career development topics such as developing an important research question, how to work with a mentor, and how to review and publish manuscripts. The Research-In-Progress seminar series was created to meet the needs of masters and doctoral degree students with advisors in the Welch Center. Degree candidates give a presentation of their research at each meeting. Students receive early faculty feedback on research projects and gain confidence delivering research presentations. Research-in-Progress also provides the perfect opportunity for trainees to learn about their colleagues' work. *Master's and doctoral students in the clinical epidemiology and cardiovascular epidemiology concentrations are required to attend.
