 Welch Center Core Faculty member Elizabeth Selvin, PhD, MPH, has been promoted to the rank of Associate Professor. Dr. Selvin holds joint appointments in the Department of Epidemiology in the Bloomberg School of Public Health and in the Division of General Internal Medicine in the Department of Medicine in the School of Medicine. She also serves as the assistant director of the Department of Epidemiology’s Cardiovascular Training Program.
Dr. Selvin’s research focuses on diabetes and cardiovascular disease, especially their screening and prevention. She carries out an ambitious program of research that has already yielded a sum of 71 articles to be found in PubMed, while also mentoring multiple trainees and winning an award from the Department of Epidemiology for her excellence in teaching the Welch Center Journal Club.
