 The Welch Center’s Josef Coresh, MD, PhD, MHS, has been selected to receive the 2010 Epidemiology and Prevention Mentoring Award from the American Heart Association. The award is sponsored by the Council on Epidemiology and Prevention’s Early Career Committee. The award “honors a person who has provided exceptional individual and institutional mentoring and advocacy for cardiovascular epidemiology researchers.” Dr. Coresh will receive an engraved plaque at the award’s presentation, which will take place at the Council Dinner at the American Heart Association’s 50th Epidemiology and Prevention Conference in San Francisco on March 4th.
