Tiffany Gary-Webb, PhD, MHS, Welch Center Core Faculty member, has been promoted to Associate Professor. In addition to her appointment in the Welch Center, Dr. Gary-Webb holds joint appointments in the Department of Epidemiology in the Bloomberg School of Public Health and in the Division of General Internal Medicine in the Department of Medicine in the School of Medicine. She is also a Core Faculty member in the Center for Health Disparities Solutions.

Dr. Gary’s research program is unique in that she combines observational and intervention research to address the common theme of reducing racial/ethnic disparities in diabetes and its complications and improving diabetes care for urban African Americans. Her national reputation in this area as evidenced by her authorship of over 50 peer-reviewed publications, presentations at national conferences, and professional activities. She is an active member of the American Diabetes Association and the American Public Health Association.
