Dr. Hunter Young's article, "Differential Susceptibility to Hypertension is due to Selection during the out-of-Africa Expansion," was highlighted under "Editors' Choice" in the December 16 issue of Science Magazine. In the article, published in December in PLoS Genetics, Young et al. present genetic data consistent with the hypothesis that differential susceptibility to hypertension among modern humans is due to climatic adaptation during the out-of-Africa expansion.
