Ruth R. Faden, PhD, MPH, is the Philip Franklin Wagley Professor of Biomedical Ethics and executive director of Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics. Neal Halsey, MD, director of the Institute for Vaccine Safety at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, is a pediatrician with subspecialty training in infectious diseases and epidemiology. Orin Levine, PhD, is the executive director of the Pneumococcal Accelerated Development and Introduction Plan (PneumoADIP), which is an evidence-based program dedicated to improving child survival and health by accelerating the evaluation of and access to new, lifesaving pneumococcal vaccines for the world's children. Katherine O’Brien, MD, MPH, is the associate director of the Center for American Indian Health and the deputy director of the Pneumococcal Accelerated Development and Introduction Plan. She has particular expertise in the conduct of field trials to access vaccine efficacy. William J. Moss, MD, MPH is an associate professor in the Department of Epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. His research interests include the epidemiology and control of childhood infections in developing countrie with a primary interest in understanding the impact of the HIV-1 epidemic on measles control and eradication.
