Despite fresh memories of Hurricane Katrina and the threat of a future flu pandemic, most Americans still have not taken basic steps to prepare for the worst. To address the situation, the Bloomberg School’s Center for Communication Programs (CCP) developed the Ready? Set? Good media campaign to help people put together an emergency kit to have on hand should disaster strike. This simple preventive measure frees up first responders to handle the most urgent situations.
