In November, the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health was invited to bring its message of “protecting health, saving lives—millions at a time” to New York City’s busy Times Square. From November 16 to 30, a message from the School was displayed on the 520-square-foot CBS electronic billboard located on 42nd Street. The message appeared randomly for 15 seconds every 30 minutes for 16 days and was seen by hundreds of thousands of people attending the annual Thanksgiving Day Parade. Millions of people pass through Times Square every year. You can view the electronic message here. Related article Times Sq. Ads Spread Via Tourists’ Cameras (New York Times, December 11, 2006) |
