 All classes will be held at the School of Public Health, located at 615 North Wolfe Street, in East Baltimore. The School and University are convenient to bus, light-rail and subway. In addition Baltimore is served by both Amtrak and the Baltimore-Washington International Airport. Students who will be driving to the medical campus may park in the Washington Street parking garage. The Institute will provide discounted parking coupons for purchase at final registration.
 While enrolled in the Summer Institute, participants will have access to the Lilienfeld Library at the School of Public Health, the Welch Medical Library at the School of Medicine and the Eisenhower Library at the Homewood campus.
Students may also obtain membership during the Summer Institute to the Denton Cooley Athletic Center. Located behind Hampton House, the recreational center houses a multipurpose gymnasium with an indoor track, free and circuit training weight rooms, racquetball and squash courts, three outdoor tennis courts, and an outdoor 25-yard pool.  There are many eating facilities available to students during the day. The Wolfe Street Cafe, located on the ninth floor of the SPH, is open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and serves breakfast and lunch. The Johns Hopkins Hospital Cafeteria is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. At the Outpatient Center, the 601 Grill is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and serves sandwiches, soups, pizza, and speciaity grill items.
Located in the Nelson Building of the Hospital, the Tower Terrace restaurant has attractive surroundings, table service, and a relaxing atmosphere. The Terrace is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., Friday for lunch. Dinner is 4 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Numerous eateries are within walking distance of the School. |
