Created in November 2001, the Student Diversity Office works to increase the number of underrepresented minority students in the School. The office sponsors targeted seminars and special events to create a supportive environment for these students. The office works closely with faculty and the Student Funding Resources office to promote minority research programs such as the Student Diversity Summer Internship Program (Online Application) and the Leadership Alliance, and to identify candidates for minority supplements to research grants. Furthermore, the office serves as a clearinghouse on minority student data for the School. The Student Diversity staff is committed to providing outstanding service to the faculty, staff, and students it serves.
