Popular Fellowships/Internships

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention: CDC has several fellowships including the Public Health Informatics Fellowship Program, Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Prevention Effectiveness Methods, and more.

Association of Schools of Public Health - ASPH provides internships and fellowships in conjunction with other public health agencies such as CDC and The Health Resources and Services Administration.  View the ASPH Center for Graduate Practice's Guide to Graduate Training Programs for more information.

Minority Global Health Disparities Research Training Program.  Bloomberg School of Public Health students must apply through the Career Services Office located at 2017 E. Monument Street.

Population Council - The Council's longstanding fellowship programs have helped advance the careers of some 2,000 social and biomedical scientists, many of whom have gone on to hold leadership positions in the population field. The Council's fellowships include the following: 

Presidential Management Internship is an entry-level career development and training program designed to attract to the Federal Service outstanding men and women representing cultural and academic diversity who have a clear interest in, and commitment to a career in public service.  Interested students should contact Cassie Klein, cklein@jhsph.edu, who handles the School's nomination process.

Biomedical Science Careers Program (BSCP) Internships and Job Opportunities

Department of Energy - has multiple internships and fellowships related to science and environmental health.

Catholic Relief Services - provides opportunities for international humanitarian service via its International Development Fellows Program.

Fordham Law Center on Law & Information Policy, CLIP Leitner Fellows Program.

Michigan Population Fellows Programs - opportunities in international population assistance

National Institutes of Health - offers many training opportunities.

California Family Health Council - offers the Title X Internship Program.

Emory Healthcare Administrative Fellowship Program.

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) - Internships and Fellowships including the USAID Fellows Program.

Student Outreach Resource Center (SOURCE). Offers numerous internship and volunteer opportunities in the Baltimore area, in conjunction with local non-profit and community-based agencies. Gain practical experience in your field of study with the help of an extensive list of partnering agencies. Great for Capstone projects, too.

United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) - US Citizens are not eligible to apply for this program.   The UNDP programme provides young professionals pursuing a career in development with hands-on experience in multi-lateral technical co-operation.
