Examples The Access Plan will cost less for the student who only has 2 regular cleanings; however, this plan will cost more out-of-pocket if you have additional work performed. Examples of Access Plan pricing for class II and III services are based on local average costs. These prices will vary per dentist.
1) 2 routine cleanings per year with x-rays - DHMO - $186 premium + $10 office co-pay ($5 per visit) = $196
- Access Plan - $138 premium + $25 deductible = $163
2) 2 routine cleanings per year with x-rays plus a crown - DHMO - $186 premium + $10 office co-pay ($5 per visit) + $450 = $646
- Access Plan – $138 premium + $25 deductible + $713 (25% discount on $950) = $876
3) 2 routine cleanings per year with x-rays plus a filling - DHMO - $186 premium + $10 office co-pay ($5 per visit) + $9 = $205
- Access Plan – $138 premium + $25 deductible + $78 (25% discount on $130) = $241
