The School's mission is to provide a comprehensive and coordinated educational program for children in grades pre-K through 8th. The School is a Baltimore City Public School.

Volunteer Opportunities:

• 2009-2010 School Year Tutoring Opportunity: The school is in need of math tutors for 60 6th &7th graders. Tutors are needed daily between 1PM and 3PM, or from 3PM-4PM to assist directly with homework. This is a great opportunity for student groups! • Provide direct health education and/or promotion for elementary school students. Topics, development of program, duration and specific timing will depend on goals and schedules of JHSPH students and the needs of students at Tench Tilghman.
