Education Courses for Family Members:
Family to Family Education Program - Family to Family is a 12 week course for close relatives of individuals with severe brain disorders (mental illnesses).  Trained family members teach the course.  All course materials are furnished at no cost to you.  The curriculum discusses the clinical treatment of major mental illnesses and teaches the knowledge and skills that family members need to cope more effectively.  The commitment is two and one half hours per week for twelve weeks.  It is essential that you attend all 12 classes.

NAMI Basics - NAMI Basics is a new NAMI National signature education program for parents and other caregivers of children and adolescents living with mental illness.  All course materials are furnished at no cost to you.  The six session course is taught by trained teachers who are also parents/caregivers of individuals who developed the symptoms of mental illness in childhood.  The curriculum discusses current information about the major childhood mental illnesses and provides the fundamentals a caregiver needs to care for themselves, their family, and their child who is living with mental illness.
