The Leslie and Thomas DeRosa Leadership Program

In addition to the world-class curriculum and research
opportunities available to all students at the Johns
Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Sommer
Scholars participate in the specially designed Leslie
and Thomas DeRosa Leadership Program. This unique
and individualized enrichment program includes:

• Training in media relations, conflict management,
crisis management, fund-raising, and team-building

• Leadership Series dinner conversations

• Goals analysis and personal leadership assessment

• Community service opportunities

• Study trips to Washington D.C. and New York City
