How to use the MCH Leadership Skills Development Series

The MCH Leadership Skills Development modules are structured for great flexibility in use.  You will decide which components to use, who should participate, how long it will take, and which topics to cover.  All the tools and materials you need are right here on the website, and they are designed to make the planning straightforward and easy. 

1)  Download and read the User Guide.         PDF (174KB)
This brief document (10 pages) lays out everything you need to know to use the MCH Leadership Skills Development Series:

  • Examples for using the modules on your own or with a group
  • Options for using modules in their entirety or selecting specific components
  • Preparation of participants
  • Roles of the facilitator

2)  View and download the modules.            Go to Modules
Each module contains learning objectives, a suggested sequence of activities with estimated time frames, and all of the written documents, videos, and reference materials you’ll need to conduct a leadership skills training session. 

3)  Plan and conduct your program.              Go to Planning Resources
All the tools you need are right here, and no special training or experience is necessary. However, if you have questions or would like further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us.

By answering a few brief questions, you will help us refine these tools and develop modules on new topics.  We’ll also update the User Guide with (anonymous) examples of various ways to use the modules, based on your reporting.
