Dr. Tanya Johns Wins Clinical Research Award

Dr. JohnsTanya Johns, MD, Nephrology Fellow and trainee in clinical epidemiology with Dr. Ebony Boulware, has been awarded first place in clinical research at the Mid-Atlantic Nephrology Young Investigators Forum for her project entitled "the Influence of Neighborhood Poverty on Racial Differences in Mortality among U.S. Young Adult Dialysis Patients." As one of four top winners, she moves on to compete at the national level at the National Kidney Foundation Spring Clinical Meeting in Orlando, FL next month. The honor is accompanied by a trophy, a cash prize, and an all-expense-paid trip to Orlando to compete.
