New Babies in the Family! 

The Welch Center family has been fairly burgeoning lately. No less than four babies have arrived in the past few weeks. We are happy to report that all the babies and all the parents are doing well. And cuter infants we think we've never seen!




Postdoctoral Fellow in cardiovascular epidemiology Julie Bower, PhD, MPH, has added yet another title to her name--Mom. Julie and husband John have proudly announced the arrival of their first child, baby daughter Adelice Julianne Bower, on Wednesday, March 21st. Little Adelice weighed 7 lbs. 5 ozs. at birth.









Welch Center postdoctoral trainee and GIM Fellow Charles Jonassaint, PhD, and his wife, Naudia Lauder, MD, were surprised by the early arrival of their first child, son Micah Bronson Jonassaint on Monday, April 2nd. Baby Micah weighed 3 lbs. 7 oz. at birth. Since then he has been thriving and is now weighing in at over 6 lbs.






Welch Center postdoctoral trainee and GIM Fellow Salman Waheed, MD, MPH, and his wife are proud to announce the birth of their son, Mohammad, on Wednesday, May 9th. Baby Mohammad entered the world at 7 lbs. 12 oz.Waheed






Baby Juraschek

Most recently, Welch Center postdoctoral trainee Stephen Juraschek and his wife, Lara, welcomed their first child, son Samuel Cooper Juraschek. Baby Sam was born on Thursday, May 17th, and weighed in at a robust 8 lbs. 13 oz. at birth!
